Thanks
ONE WEEK AWAY AND I WANT TO SAY ‘THANKS’
Next week starts one of the most incredible adventures in our lives. Our first worship gathering at City Church of Charleston! Lots of little loose ends to tie down, which will keep us busy this weekend and next week, but everything is looking GREAT!
Thankfulness fills my heart this morning as I look back on what has transpired to make CCC happen and the beautiful Christians God has injected into our lives and allowed to cross our path. I first of all want to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for the irresistible urge to become a pastor and the gentle nudging, guidance and protection his hand has provided. I thank him for the wisdom, energy and ability He’s given us to take on this task….it’s too monumental for us to do on our own. I thank Him for the beautiful family He’s blessed me with. My wife and two wonderful girls are ready to serve God in the capacity of a pastor’s family, and that is priceless. (I Timothy 3:4-5)
World Harvest Ministries (North Charleston, SC), and The Pentecostals of Alexandria (Alexandria, LA) have been our training camps for the last 20 years of our lives. The POA is a modern day Antioch and we’ve been refreshed, encouraged and challenged by the ministry of this church and its leaders. Thank you!
The following businesses, churches and individuals have contributed financially into the beginnings of CCC, and we’re so thankful that you trusted and believed in us enough to give so generously:
- Bubba’s Truck and Trailer Store (owned by my wonderful in-laws, Wayne and Hazel Collier)
- Power House Church, North Myrtle Beach, SC (pastored by our friends, Jon and Tracie Feld)
- Lifepoint Church, Prairieville, LA (lead by the inspiring family of pastor Donavon Hill)
- Christian Life Center, Myrtle Beach, SC (pastored by our friends, S.K. and Dee Davis)
- Christ Center, Columbia, SC (pastored by Scott Smith)
- The Pentecostals of Alexandria, Alexandria, LA (pastored by G.A. & Anthony Mangun and Terry Shock)
- The Sound and Security Company (owned by Jeff, Mike and Donna Allen)
- Jerry and Maryann Powers, our friends from the ’start’
- John and Patricia Pharis (my supportive parents)
With all my heart I say ‘thanks’.
Peace,
John
